My first published book cover!

Though it's written in Arabic, and can only be found in the middle east.  And as far as I can tell, the publisher's website is inaccessible from the US.  And the artwork was stolen without my knowledge or consent.

But at least it's a science fiction book.

It's amazing, they just cropped the image a little, and didn't even remove the full URL.  The publisher seems to be old and well-respected in the middle east.  I'm at a loss to explain why they'd publish such obviously stolen art.

So what's an artist to do?  I have a feeling my options are limited due to the international nature of this theft.  I doubt that I'd be able to recover damages, but I'll be talking to my lawyer just to be sure.  I'll be sure to update as the case develops.

In a way, I'm feeling like I've arrived.  Now I can swap stolen art horror stories with the cover artists I meet at sci-fi conventions.  Also, I can add book covers to my list of services now.

I just wish I knew what the title of the book was.

The professor is Talib Omran (not sure if that's the proper spelling in English for it or not) and the book is called "Hole in the Wall of time." Check out the cover http://www.facebook.com/photo_search.php?oid=97025529900&view=all. Also, it's published by www.fikr.com. Let me know how else I can be of service. Best of luck, (And congratulations on the book cover ;) )

That's just... wow. I don't know what to make of that. But Middle Eastern science fiction is a hard market to break into, from what I've heard, so good for you!
